Artichokes and Labour's Day

Another week has passed and this one was different than any other because we actually worked for straight 7 days without a break because on the 1st of May we celebrated Labour's day by...Labouring. Week started slowly as i had to clean the small attichokes which unlike the big ones don't come in 40 pieces but in 500 which have to be treated exactly like the big ones. So i spent 2 days cleaning these little buddies and just when i tought that one repetative action was done i was told that we have to make MEP aubergine cakes for 200 people. Might sound fun but it definately is not because that involves the blanching, peeling, drying, cutting in half and placing over an aubergine circle 12 kilos of tomatoes. So there go another 2 days followed by a Saturday's extremely busy night with 50 people in the restaurant. Last but not least was my Monday which started as the calmest day in the working week with having only 3 reservations but suddenly at some point we had 23 people in the restaurant and with the MEP for 6 you can imagine how extreme and fast paced the service was. Anyway im writing this in my day off waiting for the next week with zero patiance because who knows what lies for me there.
